Private investment company Hawk Infinity AS is taking ownership of FDVhuset with a clearly defined objective:
- FDVhuset is about to become number one in Norway. Our only ambition to buy in is to help the company strengthen its position as the market leader in Norway. We buy with a long-term perspective to develop the company further, says Marianne Michelsen, CEO of Hawk Infinity.
She will be the new Chairman of the Board of FDVhuset and will be joined on the board by Hawks' Investment Director Jannik Woxholth and former owner and General Manager Eirik Johanssen. Deputy Manager Magnus Steffensen will be the new General Manager of FDVhuset.
FDVhuset's new owner has taken a position in several software companies where the digital shift has had or will have, great significance for the industries in which they operate. - Building management is just such an industry. A lot has happened in recent years, but we believe there is still a great opportunity to develop more services and more customers to win. There is an ocean of property owners who do not have FM systems today, and we have a lot to do in developing new types of services, Marianne Michelsen says.
New General Manager Magnus Steffensen is pleased that FDVhuset gets an owner who has experience with company development, with a portfolio of companies that are relevant for FDVhuset to collaborate with. - With Hawk behind us, we now have the opportunity to grow, both by expanding the range of products we offer today, but also by winning new customers in Norway and abroad. The new owner represents competence and experience that will take FDVhuset further. A lot will happen in the future, but our main focus will be the same as before: To continuously develop and improve so that we can deliver a better system to our customers.
Today, FDVhuset's system FAMAC handles the management of just over 30 million square meters of building stock throughout Norway. Around 450 customers use FDVhuset's system to keep track of everything from leases, cleaning, fire protection, ventilation systems, and more. The philosophy has always been to provide user-friendly services on customers' terms, developed by and for construction professionals.
For founder Eirik Johanssen, the sale means an end to a process he has been working on for the past two years, to find the best owner for the company. He is very pleased with the solution they finally landed. - We have gone many rounds with several major players. For me, the most important thing was to find an owner who can further develop the FDVhuset and the environment in Sortland. Our company has been growing rapidly, something that we have tried to hold back a bit because we have lacked the capacity to handle it. But here Hawk comes in with a professional organization and a network that allows us to meet the challenges of both new and existing customers. I look forward to following the further development both in the industry and in FDVhuset, says Johanssen.
The new General Manager Magnus Steffensen states that the further development will be about growth, but strikes a sober tone. - FDVhuset currently has 20 employees, and we will recruit more to take the growth we see coming. But we build the company in the way we have done so far: Stone upon stone, Steffensen concludes.
